Audition for Professional Program 2023/2024

Pro Ballet School has been founded and opened its doors in 2022 in Basel, Switzerland. Since te first months, there has been an important demand of advanced and pre-professional students to receive professional training. This lead to our Professional Program which aims at a holistic education for future professional dancers.

We are very happy to announce our first Professional Program Audition for entry in August 2023.

Registration and Participation are free of charge and application by inscription can be submitted until one day before the audition.

Junior candidates will have a Ballet Class as well as pointes work depending on the level.

Senior candidates will have a Ballet Class with pointes work as well as a Contemporary class.

The assessment will be done by the Founder and Artistic Director Cinthia Labaronne and part of the Pro Ballet School Team.

The assessment criteria are:

• The candidate’s physical capacity to become a professional dancer.
• The candidate’s turn out, arched feet, flexibility (back/legs), physical strength and stamina.
• The candidate’s musicality, coordination, and use of space as well as his/her capacity to take and process advice/teaching input.

The results of the audition will be directly communicated the same day after a break.

The School has a limited amount of bursaries. Candidates who qualify for partial bursaries will be informed directly after the audition.

Final schedule will be published one week before the audition.

The audition as well as the program will be held in English.
