Privacy Policy

1 General

1.1 Preamble

The ballet school Pro Ballet School (hereinafter: the PBS) is an association under Swiss law and is therefore subject to Swiss data protection legislation. In the area of ā€‹ā€‹data protection, PBS relies on data processing that complies with the law and on open communication with those affected regarding the handling of personal data. Accordingly, when processing personal data, PBS always relies on a justification and takes all appropriate measures to protect the data from unlawful and incorrect processing.

1.2 Scope

This data protection declaration applies to all PBS websites (including web applications integrated therein and other online services offered). However, if special conditions or general terms and conditions of individual online services offered on the PBS website contradict this data protection declaration, the respective special conditions or general terms and conditions of the individual online services take precedence. This declaration also applies exclusively to the processing of data of natural persons. This declaration does not apply to the processing of data of legal entities (e.g. stock corporations, GmbHs, associations).

2 Scope and purpose of data processing

2.1 Data processing as a result of website visits

During a visit to the PBS websites, various non-personal data is automatically processed. Every access to the website is logged by the PBS web server and stored anonymously. The data collected does not allow PBS to draw any conclusions about the person and is stored indefinitely. The following data is collected in particular:
the anonymized IP address of the device used;

  • the identification data of the browser used (e.g. Safari, Firefox, etc.);

  •  the operating system of the computer used;

  • the amount of data transferred;

  •  the name of the Internet service provider (e.g. Swisscom, Salt, etc.);

  • the date and time of access and

  • technical data (e.g. the search term used by a search engine to access the website)

 

2.2 Data processing as a result of online service use

For the use of certain online services (e.g. contact form, membership request) and for surveys, personal details (name, first name, date of birth), contact details such as address, telephone number, email address and possibly other (particularly sensitive) personal data must be provided. For the disclosure of data, unless it arises from the circumstances (e.g. if a contact form is filled out and sent to PBS), consent to the disclosure and processing of data is obtained in each case. The data is stored for as long as described in the respective consent (if one is obtained). If the retention period is not clearly specified in the consent or if no consent is obtained, the retention period is determined a) by the purpose of processing; b) max. 5 years after the last customer contact; c) after any applicable statutory period; d) after an official or court order. All personal data is stored in Switzerland unless otherwise stated in the specific consent.

2.3. Purpose of data processing

The peripheral data processed by accessing the website is primarily used to use our content (establishing a connection). Secondarily, the processing serves internal purposes (administration, system security, statistics and website improvements). The personal data entered in the respective online services is only used for the purposes to which the user explicitly or implicitly consents (see section 2.2).

3 Sharing of data

Data will not be passed on, sold or exchanged for marketing purposes with third parties outside of PBS. Personal data will only be passed on to third parties in cases where necessary in order to provide our services. However, data will only be passed on with prior consent (according to section 5).

4 Social media plugins

The social media plugins enable (when clicked) to view content on the website and, if desired, to share it with network contacts. Social media plugins from the following networks are integrated as HTML links on the PBS website and in the web applications:

  • Instagram (Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park CA 94025, USA)


  • Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA)

  • Youtube (YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA) On the PBS social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube), the data protection declarations of the respective provider apply.

5 Consent

5.1 Data processing as a result of visiting the website

Users of the PBS website agree that their data (according to section 2.1) may be processed by PBS for the stated purposes (according to section 2.3) when visiting the website.

5.2 Data processing as a result of online service use

For data processing that takes place as part of the use of online services (according to section 2.2), specific consent is obtained or consent is tacitly assumed if the purpose of the processing and the data processing by PBS arise from the nature of the matter (according to section 2.3).

6 List of processing activities

PBS uses/processes data provided for the following purposes:

  • Sending the member invoice;

  • Information about club activities (by email or post).

7 Rights of the data subject

Within the scope of the personal data processing described in this data protection declaration, the user can assert the rights to the personal data to which he is entitled at any time. To exercise these rights, PBS requires a written application with a copy of an official ID.
